These sessions are educational programs that engage interested members in a variety of topics including what it means to be Greek, how to get involved beyond just membership, risk management, image, and the history of fraternal organizations. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the role fraternity and sorority members play in the Greek community and how to make positive choices that will assist in the elevation of the greater Illinois State University community.
Students are strongly encouraged to participate in an orientation prior to participating in recruitment.
The College Panhellenic Council hosts primary (fall) recruitment and informal (spring) recruitment.
Please complete the Fall 2023 recruitment registration form PRIOR to making the payment.
Registration for Primary Recruitment will open May 8th, 2023 and be open until August 15th at 3 pm. Primary recruitment is the main selection process of all of the housed sororities on campus. The cost of registering is $50. This process will take place during Welcome Week and students need to plan to move into their Residence Halls on Monday, August 14 or Tuesday, August 15th to participate!

Please note: Individual schedules for Thursday – Saturday will vary. Please plan to be present during the hours listed, but you may be done early. Schedules will allow you to participate in many Welcome Week activities.
Interfraternity Council (IFC) fraternities have the ability to recruit 365 days a year. Throughout the summer and the school year, you will have the chance to meet the men of IFC at various events. It is important to keep an open mind and try to meet as many of the chapters as possible before signing a bid.
The Interfraternity Council (IFC) host informal recruitment, which takes place throughout the fall and spring semesters. Chapters host most of the events individually for members and interested students to learn about the opportunities provided through membership. Students who are interested in joining an IFC fraternity must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. Registration for Fall 2023 recruitment is now open!

There is no council-run intake process for the culturally based organizations that are a part of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and United Greek Council (UGC). Students interested in joining a culturally based organization must contact individual chapters for information regarding the intake process.
